Medical Pedicures
We are highly skilled foot care specialists who combine Podiatry with nail care. Gone are the risks associated with non-medically sterilized and sanitized pedicures; we guarantee to be safe and hygienic. Our ‘dry pedicures’ eliminate the chance of contracting harmful infections that are all too common in traditional nail salons. All our pedicures are done in a private room setting.
Additionally, we carry two luxury lines of polish. Bio Seaweed Gel Nail Polish offers the same array of vibrant colours you know and love, without the toxins. Our second line, brought to you by SpaRitual, is also toxin free with the added benefits of being vegan, free of synthetic dyes and preservatives.
Why use a toxin free nail polish?
Although not required to sport a warning label, the average store shelf nail polish contains chemicals that can result in numerous health risks and concerns. This average nail polish contains at least these four:
- Dibutyl phthalate – use of this toxin in cosmetics is not restricted and can lead to liver and kidney failure.
- Formaldehyde – in concentrations of ~5% in your nail polish, it is a known human carcinogen (cancer).
- Toluene – this can cause dermatitis, effect the central nervous system and irritate respiratory organs.
- BHA – a preservative; it is a known carcinogen interferes with natural endocrine function and hormones.
